Worthy and Wisdom Wednesday!
Well today is Hump Day for most people as we are at the half way point to our weekend. I use my Wednesday's to show others they're worthy and read or do something to add more wisdom to my life. I truly enjoy reading, arts and crafts and being able to design things with my hands. It's very therapeutic for me. Today I supported my true friend Floyd Boykin Jr. by pre-ordering his new book for myself and my niece who is 14 and needing some direction, encouragement and positive influence over her life to continue to go in the right direction. She's at that impressionable age where she's trying to learn how to come into her own as a mature adult & usually is confused about many things and can be easily influenced. I pray that B.L.I.S.S. will help her to learn herself unconditionally and define who she is, whose she is and what direction she wants her life to go in. Self improvement should be a constant in all people's lives but we all know too well that complacency is the #1 killer of people, people's relationships and dreams.

Soulful Sunday!
I am thankful to God to see another week and yet another fabulous day. Last week was very stressful, tedious and strenuous. I talked to my daddy and he's in great health and spirits. The doctor even took him off a some of his diabetes medication which is a great thing. I am so thankful to God for restoring the relationship between me and my daddy so that we can focus on having a healthy, happy and fruitful relationship during my father's later years. We definitely have bumped heads over the years and shared our ups and downs but through it all God was right there to protect and keep us both in our right minds and helping us to forgive each other of our mistakes and short-comings. As today being the first day of the week have you begin to mentally prepare for what lies ahead for you this week? It's always a grind when you have a goal to reach and responsibilities that await you. I made it through a very challenging week last week and I continue to pray & ask God to help me walk in my purpose. Truly trying to be a servant while being a blessing to others is truly a challenge. I truly love empowering others to reach their dreams, goals, and learning how to walk in their purpose. I am looking forward to a powerful and productive week. I apologize for not being able to blog none last week but stay tuned and see what's coming up next.

Soulful Sunday!
Good morning world it's the first day of the week and the Lord's day. I am so glad that I made it through another week in great health, in my right mind and full of joy. The world is full of interesting people. It's interesting how you can be friends with someone for a really long time and still not know someone. We are all flawed and have baggage however are we really comfortable in our skin with those flaws and baggage that we bring to relationships? The more you are in tuned with who you are and comfortable in your skin he more confident you will be in knowing what you bring to a relationship and you won't be afraid of being transparent to the people who actually matter. Life isn't about trying to impress people or living for others but living for God. I am learning more and more as you live for God you are so much more at peace with things that you simply can't control as well as when the outcome of a situation don't go as you would've hoped. I am just so thankful that I truly seek out God and consult God with everything before making a decision. We all struggle with being patient and waiting on God because we simply get frustrated. I know no matter what God is always surely on time in our lives and doesn't miss a beat. God gives us all intuition and it will be great once we truly learn how to tap into it, listen and trust whatever it says when it speaks to our soul.

Sensational Saturday
Today is sensational Saturday. I am so happy because enjoyed a home cooked meal for breakfast. It's nothing like Southern Hospitality. The warm, open, and love shown to people down south is simply amazing. It's always good to reconnect with old college buddies and family. Life is only as good as you make it. You get out of life what you put into it. Life doesn't owe you anything so please get rid of the entitlement attitude. I am so thankful to God for all of his blessings on my life. I am very fortunate to still have both my parents who love me dearly and support me with my dreams in life. I am foregoing my weekend to get a jump start on my studying for my constitutional law class which is going to be very tough but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! I will thrive, I will survive and I will excel thru my faith and God's grace.
Enjoy your weekend....and thanks for reading and sharing my blog.

Fierce and Fabulous Friday!
Most people look forward to Friday because it's the start of the weekend. For me it's just another day because I work most weekends on my job and I am off during the week. I do enjoy Friday's for many other reasons though. Most people are preparing to go clubbing for the weekend so no one is blowing up your phone, your social media accounts or anything that can distract you from enjoying you. I usually use my Friday's to pamper myself with manicures and pedicures or a fierce facial from my favorite spa "Serenity Spa" which is minority owned with great customer service. I am really thankful and blessed & just want to give God a shout out. It's been a long journey, feud and battle with my father since him and my mother divorced after 20 years of marriage. My Dad and I are in a great space and place with our relationship that's filled with more love again versus fighting, arguing and negative energy. I prayed for many years for our relationship to get to place of peace & we have arrived to that point & I'm just grateful to God. The saying is trouble and storms don't last always & are only temporary; however, sometimes temporary can feel like a lifetime while you're going through.

Triumphant Thursday!
I get on a spiritual conference call every Thursday called fast 4 life. I am learning the importance of fasting, patience, prayer and persistence. I am learning how to grow in my faith because we all lose faith or experience our faith at being at it's lowest where we began to question God, question our self worth because we don't know how to process the bad, unjust or negative things that take place in our lives. We somehow have been mis-informed that because we are believers, Christians, men/women of faith that we aren't suppose to endure hardships, long suffering, unfair treatment, persecution or have to weather storms. I always say you can't have a testimony without a test. Test brings forth character, strength, integrity and purpose. It will also show you what you are made of meaning can you make lemonade out of lemons? I hope that you do something daily to invest yourself daily.

Worthy and Wisdom Wednesday!
How much time and money do you spend investing in yourself?
I love to read books that will add value to my life and purpose. I love to journal about what I read and add positive affirmations to my goal list. I feel "The same pants you get mad in are the same pans you can get glad in!" Have you ever thought about it like that? I am so full of joy and happiness which doesn't mean I don't have frustrating days, challenging days that will attack my over bubbly personality however I try my best not to reside there. Prayer can and will change things. Stop taking bad advice or listening to people who are just as broken, bitter or frustrated as you. It will get you no where other than throwing a pity party and feeling like someone owes you something. Life is what you make it so add wisdom daily to your life by reading a self help book, the bible, a book on how to better your finances.
What are your thoughts? Please share.....thank you for reading my blog!
How to find your Happiness!
Happiness is the ultimate expression of doing you, fully being yourself, making your own choices. No one else can do what you do. Other people may have your talent, but they don't have your twist. Doing you yields the ultimate in life satisfaction because it means engaging every fiber of your being into your destiny. Getting to know who your really are means you equip yourself to take care of you in the ways that help you become you best self. When you get to know you, your likes & dislikes, your passions & your plans, your motivations & your downers become evident. Knowing you means you simultaneously learn what it takes to inspire you to happiness & fulfillment. People who grow up in poverty may have to learn who they are apart from an environment filled with street corner drug deals, substandard housing, high incarceration rates, high teen pregnancy rates, and low expectations. If you grew up this way, your environment may tell you that you are destined to sell drugs, but actually, you love to write science fiction, Get in touch with the "real you" so that you can see your higher self & realize your ability to distance yourself from the negative realities of a dysfunctional upbringing. If you grew up poor, take time to get to know your higher self, the one who has destiny that doesn't include incarceration, drugs, & unplanned pregnancy. Distinguish your true self from the environment where you grew up. You have to know yourself to live the authentic life that Destiny offers you.

Frustrated: Black American Men in Brazil
A friend of mine sent me this you tube video to watch called, "Frustrated, Black American Men in Brazil."
I watched the entire documentary and what was interesting to me was the comparison of Brazilian women to American Black Women. The men seem to say that the women of Brazil were more loving, submissive, care free and catered to the black men more than black American women. They said black American woman were more materialistic, all about money, stated a black man had to make the same amount of money or close to what they made, had too much attitude and felt just because they had careers that they didn't need to take care of the home or their man anymore. The Brazilian culture structure teaches family first and embraces people of color much better than America. I don't believe or agree with the overall statement that Brazilian women treat black men better than black women in America; however, I do believe that we all still have room to grow and learn how to have a stronger family structure in America and in order for that to happen there is a lot of healing that needs to take place on both sides male/female. Many black women are broken, bitter and scorn from betrayal, lies, manipulation, verbal & physical abuse, child hood molestation and absentee fathers. I feel when a person can face their truths and fears then they can truly work towards achieving what God has for them and the blessings God is just waiting to give you. I feel that black women love and properly care for their black men until their ruined by the male chauvinist who's selfish, self absorbed and only out for his own personal gain in relationships thru manipulation, lies and deceit. We all have knowingly ignored red flags at one point or another however, many times our choices are taken from us because of deception and then it just becomes a vicious cycle of games, lies, deceit and betrayal. I feel if men and women learn how to be honest upfront with better communication of what it is their looking for then we can all find the happiness, companionship., love and respect that we all want in our relationships/marriages and raise stronger children, become better families and more community oriented. I truly believe de-segregation was the downfall of the black community, black business and strong sense of self and the beginning of the family structure falling apart. What are your thoughts? Please share after you watch the video.

Monumental Monday!
"Do you refuel and recharge over the weekend?"
I know most people look forward to the weekends for different reasons. I get my rest and relaxation in while I enjoy getting my to do list accomplished on weekends all-in-one. Do you feel even more drained by the time Monday rolls around? Do you have a physical and spiritual routine that will help detox all of the negative crap that you take in all week long so that you're refreshed, relaxed and ready to roll come Monday? I know I sure do and that's why I say "Monumental Monday" because I will ensure that what I do on Monday will set the tone for how my week will go. I do at least one thing each day that makes me happy, brings a smile to my face which allows me to enjoy my life so much more. Unexpected things will happen and take place in your life at any given time; however, it is how you react to the situation will determine the end result. Do not allow the devil/satan to steal your peace of mind and/or joy because it's his ultimate goal to seek, kill and destroy your spirit which causes you to doubt God, not trust God and just give up all together.
Be blessed everyone and thanks for tuning in to my blog!
