1. Show me your circle of friends and I'll show you your future.
2. Don't let you be the reason you don't succeed or hit your goal.
3. Don't worry if people don't like you, most people are struggling to like themselves.
4. Don't like the chapter you're in, write a new one. You're the author of your life.
5. Maturity is learning to walk away from people and situations that threaten your peace of mind, self respect, values morals, or self worth.
Many people will make excuses versus investing in themselves. $20 is not an unreasonable amount of money to invest in you. Make sure you put yourself first and figure out what your passion is and go for it. Don't be afraid to leap....

Life's Journey
It's interesting the twists, turns and curve balls that life will throw at you that are simply beyond your control. I am learning how to remain humble and not seek revenge against those who attack me and try to cut me deep. The saying misery loves company is very true. I am highly disappointed at the negative and cheap shots that people take at others. The pure evil motives that people have as it pertains to another human being is sickening. It's not easy taking the high road and not stooping to the level of someone else's pettiness. I guess the saying is true when a person has nothing to lose that person will try to cost you everything you have worked hard to accomplish. I want to encourage you not to be discouraged because affliction is only temporary....

Darren Seals
Although I didn't know Darren Seals personally we stand/stood for the same cause. We are fighting the same fight but from two different angles. He was an civil rights activist in Ferguson, MO who found his God given purpose and pursued it with passion 100%. Bruce Franks, Jr. is another person who is walking in his purpose and redefining what community is and means to those in the 78th district. My prayers and condolences go out to the Seals family during this tragedy of losing someone who meant so much to so many. Everyone should have access to equal opportunity and equal justice in America; however, we know the reality of this isn't true. St. Louis have had 6 deaths in the past 2 years the same way that Darren Seals died. He was shot in the head and burned up inside of his car. This was done by a cold hearted killer who had no regard for human life. It's sad that we still live in a climate where our voices are being suppressed, our right to vote is being suppressed and that we are still having to demand respect and for people to be held accountable for their wrong doing. Turn your pain into your passion and learn to walk into your purpose.

What does rejection mean to you? How do you handle rejection?
I have learned how to embrace the art of rejection as a positive think and here is why:
1. When someone rejects you it doesn't mean you're not good enough.
It means that they can't see well enough of who you are and what you bring to the table.
2. Don't lose your identity or change who you are to get along with someone who you're not married to.
This is a red flag and it means this person isn't for you.
3. When you're getting ready to go to another/new level and God exposes people who are in your circle it's because he doesn't want you taking trash & negativity with you.
When people show you who they are BELIEVE THEM!
4. Don't waste your time with people who don't appreciate you for who you are because this is your season for grace, mercy and favor.

Favor is what we don't deserve and not anything we have earned.
5. Whenever you discover the truth about who a person is don't lie or make excuses for them.
Learn that you can not change people and you can only be a mirror or window to their soul to help them see the truth.
In my opinion this is how I would sum up rejection:
It is truly a blessing in disguise when someone who you felt like you wanted to be with or be friends with turned you down because truly you have dodged a huge bullet which ultimately is a blessing in disguise. God doesn't make any mistakes and nothing happens by accident only by divine design.

What am I grateful for?
I am grateful and thankful for being able to attend my oldest brother Keith's wedding in Berkeley, CA on July 23, 2016. I am grateful that God granted me traveling grace to have a safe flight there and my great friend Richard was able to provide transportation for me from the airport to my parents home. It was a very short visit but I was able to see my Dad and my Mom while having the pleasure of being apart of the wedding party in my brother's wedding. This was a very big wedding but beautiful none the less. I was honored to be apart of such a beautiful occasion. I'm thankful that God answered my prayers and allowed the event to run rather smoothly without any incidents for the most part. My brother was so happy to receive his bride on her BIG day. I'm happy to see God bring such beautiful souls together to become one. I know that my day will come and I will thoroughly enjoy it.

Strength, Courage & Wisdom!
Strength:
Definition, The quality or state of being strong. A good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing.
We have gone through things in life that will show us where and who our strength lies. Does your strength lie within yourself or a higher power? Has God ever shown you his strength through your weaknesses or when you are at your weakest/lowest point? Where does your strength come from.
Psalms 121:1-8
I can recall going through several different things throughout my life that I didn't know how I was gonna make it through but God did. I am dealing with something really unfair, mean spirited and hateful at the moment; however, Romans 8:28 assures me that God has already gotten this thing worked out and I just have to trust and believe him.
Courage:
Definition, The ability to do something that frightens one. Strength in the face of pain, grief or adversity.
I just recently found out that a co-worker of mine beat her battle with B-Cell Lymphoma (Stage 1) Cancer at the tender age of 33. She was diagnosed this past January and now she's in recovery and healing after going through treatment. She didn't tell anyone what she was dealing with and made a post on Facebook sharing how she won her battle and was able to ring her victory bell. It took courage to keep it a secret or to herself and get closer to God by walking and trusting him with something so huge and monumental. I'm glad and thankful to see it was apart of God's will & plan for that not to be the end of her journey because he's not done with her yet and has more for her to accomplish before he calls her home. Anyone who has battled cancer and survived it has a lot of Courage and has more strength then they had prior to their battle with cancer. After speaking with this phenomenal young lady she said the one thing that has changed about her after winning her fight with cancer is she no longer keeps things bottled up, nor does she worry about what people think about what she has to say or if they're offended by what she says when she shares her truth.
Joshua 1:9
Wisdom:
Definition, The quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. The decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge & good judgment. The body of knowledge & principles that develops within a specified society or period.
Applied knowledge equals WISDOM. Unapplied knowledge is simply a waste of space in your mind, body and spirit. Unapplied wisdom will cause you repeat the same mistakes as your parents, siblings and/or friends and miss the shortcuts which will help you avoid making some terrible choices in your life. James 1:5 states if you ask God for wisdom he will give it to you. There's no reason why you should operate in error, foolishness, or stupidity unless you simply choose to.

How To Get Over Anything!
Life is about how we handle the things that happen to us. The ability to get up after knocked down in any way is a quality that we all seek, but not everyone finds. That's called resiliency. It's a term that isn't understood very well these days. Resiliency is thriving even when times are tough. It's being stretched beyond belief & snapping back into place without missing a step. It's the stuff that helps us get through life without giving up. Honestly, resiliency is one of those tools you'll always need in your life.
1. Believe In Yourself
It seems obvious, but in fact, you won't get very far without it. A resilient person is not cocky, but quite the opposite: you should have a clear sense of your own potential, capability and ability to cope & achieve a top trait of resilient people.
2. Be Able To See What Is Possible, While Also Seeing What Is
The most resilient people assess their surroundings as well as their own strengths & weaknesses, & know where they will excel & where they will fall short. At the same time, they have a positive bias by expecting good things from the world & from other people.
3. Control Your Impulses & Feelings
With the ability to self-evaluate and assess a situation must come the willingness to manage the impulses & emoions that result. The most resilient people don't combust over little (or big) things. They take everything into account before they respond so that they don't make rash decisions or other actions they may regret.
4. Aim High And Reach Out
A resilient person doesn't curl up and die over the slightest rejection of failure. In fact, she/he does the opposite; they expand and reach out even in the wake of crisis. This is one of the most distinguishing characteristics or resilience: Your ability to continue to aim high & reach for it, instead of lowering your standards, expectations, or efforts.
Know Your Value!
Men:
There are far too many men (married & single) who devalue their women and/or wives because they have made false assumptions that they are a gift to her. The reality is, God gifted women/wives to men because they add value to your life that no other person, place or thing could. Your woman/wife are God's gift to men/husbands so please start acting accordingly.
Women:
Let's start affirming our men/husbands instead of displaying an ungrateful attitude, negative spirit and/or a nagging spirit when we don't get our way or if things or done when we think he ought to do them. I Corinthians 13, is a chapter of love. When you speak things in love, it can be fully received and request will be promptly and properly handled with his full attention.
Please read a book on marriage, relationships and/or good communication habits that will cultivate, grow and enhance your relationship/marriage. Gary Chapman has written several good books to help increase better & effective communication skills so go to a bookstore or an online store and spend $20 to invest in your relationship.
"A man's greatest treasure is his wife--she is a gift from the Lord."

Top 4 Qualities You Should Possess When Seeking True Love!
1. Happiness within yourself:
You can't rely on someone else to make you happy. You need to be in love with yourself & God 1st then work towards putting your mindset in a happier place consistently.
2. Patience:
If you try and force love, you will miss opportunities that present themselves when the RIGHT PERSON comes along. Don't look for the perfect fit, just simply focus on doing what makes you happy and being the best version of you that you can possibly be and you will collide into the RIGHT person when you least expect it.
3. A Non-judgmental Attitude:
How many times do you or others pass judgement on people without knowing anything about the person? We all have been guilty of it so don't lie to yourself as if you're perfect because non of are perfection; however, we do strive for perfection.
4. Honesty:
You need to make sure you're honest with yourself first and foremost. Know what you like and find someone who share some of the same interests and hobbies and/or that's open minded to trying new things. If you are true to the development of yourself that you know who you are, what you want, your chances of finding love will greatly increase and don't settle for Mr. or Ms. RIGHT NOW! Way too many of us have been guilty of this as well.

5 Reasons Why Husbands Need Patient Wives!
1) He Has Potential: He has the potential, but he needs someone who is patient enough to walk with him as he walks it out.
2) Leadership is Risky: As the leader of his home, he has to take bold risks. Risks will lead to mistakes.
3) He Needs Training: While very few men will admit it, at times we just don't know what to do. We don't know how to love you and serve you. We don't need to be taught, we need to be trained, and training requires repetition.
4) He Doesn't Know: Because most men haven't been trained on how to be a good Godly husband, most don't know what they don't know. He needs her patience in the discovery process.
5) He's Prideful: Very few men are willing to admit they don't have it all together. It will be her love and patience that will help him work through his pride.

Addicted To Bettering Myself!
John 15:1-17
In this passage God talks about HIM being the vine and we (his children) are the branches that's connected to the vine. He says every branch that doesn't bear fruit he takes away and every branch that bears fruit he cleanses so that it can bear more fruit. It requires faith as little as a mustard seed to trust that God can make you better. Do you trust him by allowing him to continue to prune that old man off of you? Or do you struggle with getting out of your own way? Our stubbornness, ego and pride is the reason things blow up in our faces because we truly don't trust what we can't see, touch or feel. So many people make or base decisions off of a feeling, and feelings can be so very misleading. God says abide in me and I will abide in you. If you are connected to the vine then you can continue to produce much fruit but apart from God you can do absolutely NOTHING! When you don't pray as you should, or study God's word as you should then technically you're spiritually anorexic because you've been depriving your spirit the nutritional value that it needs in order to stay strong, to grow, to fight off viruses and diseases that attack your body because it wants to destroy your body. This is exactly how Satan operates. He's a roaring Lion seeking to devour whomever he can because your mind/spirit is weak enough for Satan to have his way with you. Think about it when your focus isn't on God or your faith is weak that's when you get tempted and tested the most. The devil will never attack you where you're the strongest but the weakest. I struggle with this in certain areas of my life because I am human and humans like to think and feel that their in control of their lives and we most certainly are not. God says, "If a man abide not in me he casts forth the branch & is withered & he gathers them & cast them into fire to burn. When you are walking accordingly in the word you can ask God for whatever your heart desires & it will be done unto you." This is my commandment that you love one another even as God has loved you. Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for his friends. God says you're my friend if you do the things which I command you.
I don't know about you but this passage is very deep and requires a lot of patience, meekness and humbleness to be obedient in the way God speaks of. You have to mature in Christ, in your walk and relationship with God to arrive at this point and be able to love your enemies and pray for them who mean no good. Every chance I get I am reading a book to help me grow spiritually, physically and mentally. I try to be a blessing to at least one person daily ON PURPOSE. You never know what someone else may be going through and as I always say God can't get the glory if you don't share your story. We all have a story to tell or share that will help give hope to a hopeless person if we are children of God.

I'm Blessed
Although I don't have everything I want, I do have everything I need. I have been blessed beyond measure in so many ways that I stay smiling because I am always in awe at how God chooses to move, reveal things to me and open up my eyes in order to push me past my comfort zone to do the unthinkable. I am fearfully and wonderfully made says the scriptures and I believe what God's word says to be true. The devil is always busy seeking out who he can destroy and devour because his job is to make you doubt God, not trust God and feel like God isn't listening to your prayers. I simply want to encourage you to stay strong and steadfast in your prayer life, in being obedient and submissive to God's word because everything happens by divine design and God doesn't make mistakes....

Soulful Sunday
One of the things I truly love about waking up to see a new day is a FRESH START with God. No matter what your yesterday was like good, bad or ugly you can have a different outcome the very next day God blesses you to see. I have learned how not to take negative things over into the next day or my future because it's so toxic for your spirit. Just as easy as many people choose to look at life negatively, focus on negatives things or just have a negative attitude "Stinking Thinking" you can shift your mindset to some positive, powerful and productive that will impact the life of another human being to help this world, society we live in a better place. I firmly believe a person's goal should be to leave someone better than they found them or at least attempt to make this an intentional act. When you're intentional about God's business or the right things in life you will allow God to get the glory and you will give God something to water by planting positive seeds in others. The good word says you will reap what you sow and my question to you is, "What Kind Of Seeds Are You Sowing?"

Triumphant Thursday!
Have you ever had a sluggish day? You ever feel like you were just going thru the motions? Life is full of ups and downs but GOD! When you feel like your down to nothing just know that God is up to something. God has to bring you to it in order to bring you through it. Don't ever feel like God has abandoned you just because your in a storm because storms are only temporary just like many things in life. Storms should build character in you as a person, growth, maturity and help you gain wisdom along the way. I am so grateful for all of my experiences especially the negative ones. It has helped me become the woman that I have grown & matured into today and I don't have any regrets about anything I have gone through in life or chosen to do in my life. I am so thankful for my inner circle, my family and my true friends. Nothing in life should make you turn away from God or lose focus on why God created you and put you on this earth. Nothing happens by accident I believe but by divine design. I hope that God will continue to use me to encourage, empower, edify and uplift the souls of the lost, those who have lost hope and just need to step out on faith and learn to trust God to deliver whatever it is your life is lacking or whatever void you may feel that's in your life at this moment in time. Praise God daily for everything he has done and for what he hasn't begun to do in your life because he's faithful, courageous and an on-time God. He does everything according to his will and his timing and not by ours. May the rest of your week be filled with love, peace and happiness.

Sensational Saturday!
Today has been a real blessing. I slept in my own bed which was super comfortable. I got my hair done today which was totally relaxing and I finished my day with "The Get Down Comedy Tour" featuring George Lopez, Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, DL Hughley and Cedric The Entertainer. Life is about seizing the moments that matter most and add joy, love and laughter to your life. God always gets a good laugh at us watching us make the wrong decisions or worrying over things we can't change or fix. I am very thankful that I had breakfast with my BFF, D. Smith which was lovely. We ate breakfast at the Original Pancake House which was her first time eating there. The weather was gloomy, overcast and very foggy all day mixed with a little rain and drizzle. I had a blast just chilling by myself. Make today and everyday count towards something positive and productive.

Worthy and Wisdom Wednesday!
Well today is Hump Day for most people as we are at the half way point to our weekend. I use my Wednesday's to show others they're worthy and read or do something to add more wisdom to my life. I truly enjoy reading, arts and crafts and being able to design things with my hands. It's very therapeutic for me. Today I supported my true friend Floyd Boykin Jr. by pre-ordering his new book for myself and my niece who is 14 and needing some direction, encouragement and positive influence over her life to continue to go in the right direction. She's at that impressionable age where she's trying to learn how to come into her own as a mature adult & usually is confused about many things and can be easily influenced. I pray that B.L.I.S.S. will help her to learn herself unconditionally and define who she is, whose she is and what direction she wants her life to go in. Self improvement should be a constant in all people's lives but we all know too well that complacency is the #1 killer of people, people's relationships and dreams.

Soulful Sunday!
I am thankful to God to see another week and yet another fabulous day. Last week was very stressful, tedious and strenuous. I talked to my daddy and he's in great health and spirits. The doctor even took him off a some of his diabetes medication which is a great thing. I am so thankful to God for restoring the relationship between me and my daddy so that we can focus on having a healthy, happy and fruitful relationship during my father's later years. We definitely have bumped heads over the years and shared our ups and downs but through it all God was right there to protect and keep us both in our right minds and helping us to forgive each other of our mistakes and short-comings. As today being the first day of the week have you begin to mentally prepare for what lies ahead for you this week? It's always a grind when you have a goal to reach and responsibilities that await you. I made it through a very challenging week last week and I continue to pray & ask God to help me walk in my purpose. Truly trying to be a servant while being a blessing to others is truly a challenge. I truly love empowering others to reach their dreams, goals, and learning how to walk in their purpose. I am looking forward to a powerful and productive week. I apologize for not being able to blog none last week but stay tuned and see what's coming up next.

Soulful Sunday!
Good morning world it's the first day of the week and the Lord's day. I am so glad that I made it through another week in great health, in my right mind and full of joy. The world is full of interesting people. It's interesting how you can be friends with someone for a really long time and still not know someone. We are all flawed and have baggage however are we really comfortable in our skin with those flaws and baggage that we bring to relationships? The more you are in tuned with who you are and comfortable in your skin he more confident you will be in knowing what you bring to a relationship and you won't be afraid of being transparent to the people who actually matter. Life isn't about trying to impress people or living for others but living for God. I am learning more and more as you live for God you are so much more at peace with things that you simply can't control as well as when the outcome of a situation don't go as you would've hoped. I am just so thankful that I truly seek out God and consult God with everything before making a decision. We all struggle with being patient and waiting on God because we simply get frustrated. I know no matter what God is always surely on time in our lives and doesn't miss a beat. God gives us all intuition and it will be great once we truly learn how to tap into it, listen and trust whatever it says when it speaks to our soul.
Thank you for reading my blog and sharing it with family & friends.....have an awesome week.

Sensational Saturday
Today is sensational Saturday. I am so happy because enjoyed a home cooked meal for breakfast. It's nothing like Southern Hospitality. The warm, open, and love shown to people down south is simply amazing. It's always good to reconnect with old college buddies and family. Life is only as good as you make it. You get out of life what you put into it. Life doesn't owe you anything so please get rid of the entitlement attitude. I am so thankful to God for all of his blessings on my life. I am very fortunate to still have both my parents who love me dearly and support me with my dreams in life. I am foregoing my weekend to get a jump start on my studying for my constitutional law class which is going to be very tough but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! I will thrive, I will survive and I will excel thru my faith and God's grace.
Enjoy your weekend....and thanks for reading and sharing my blog.

Fierce and Fabulous Friday!
Most people look forward to Friday because it's the start of the weekend. For me it's just another day because I work most weekends on my job and I am off during the week. I do enjoy Friday's for many other reasons though. Most people are preparing to go clubbing for the weekend so no one is blowing up your phone, your social media accounts or anything that can distract you from enjoying you. I usually use my Friday's to pamper myself with manicures and pedicures or a fierce facial from my favorite spa "Serenity Spa" which is minority owned with great customer service. I am really thankful and blessed & just want to give God a shout out. It's been a long journey, feud and battle with my father since him and my mother divorced after 20 years of marriage. My Dad and I are in a great space and place with our relationship that's filled with more love again versus fighting, arguing and negative energy. I prayed for many years for our relationship to get to place of peace & we have arrived to that point & I'm just grateful to God. The saying is trouble and storms don't last always & are only temporary; however, sometimes temporary can feel like a lifetime while you're going through.

Triumphant Thursday!
I get on a spiritual conference call every Thursday called fast 4 life. I am learning the importance of fasting, patience, prayer and persistence. I am learning how to grow in my faith because we all lose faith or experience our faith at being at it's lowest where we began to question God, question our self worth because we don't know how to process the bad, unjust or negative things that take place in our lives. We somehow have been mis-informed that because we are believers, Christians, men/women of faith that we aren't suppose to endure hardships, long suffering, unfair treatment, persecution or have to weather storms. I always say you can't have a testimony without a test. Test brings forth character, strength, integrity and purpose. It will also show you what you are made of meaning can you make lemonade out of lemons? I hope that you do something daily to invest yourself daily.
Thank you for reading my blog and sharing it with your friends.

Worthy and Wisdom Wednesday!
How much time and money do you spend investing in yourself?
I love to read books that will add value to my life and purpose. I love to journal about what I read and add positive affirmations to my goal list. I feel "The same pants you get mad in are the same pans you can get glad in!" Have you ever thought about it like that? I am so full of joy and happiness which doesn't mean I don't have frustrating days, challenging days that will attack my over bubbly personality however I try my best not to reside there. Prayer can and will change things. Stop taking bad advice or listening to people who are just as broken, bitter or frustrated as you. It will get you no where other than throwing a pity party and feeling like someone owes you something. Life is what you make it so add wisdom daily to your life by reading a self help book, the bible, a book on how to better your finances.
What are your thoughts? Please share.....thank you for reading my blog!
How to find your Happiness!
Happiness is the ultimate expression of doing you, fully being yourself, making your own choices. No one else can do what you do. Other people may have your talent, but they don't have your twist. Doing you yields the ultimate in life satisfaction because it means engaging every fiber of your being into your destiny. Getting to know who your really are means you equip yourself to take care of you in the ways that help you become you best self. When you get to know you, your likes & dislikes, your passions & your plans, your motivations & your downers become evident. Knowing you means you simultaneously learn what it takes to inspire you to happiness & fulfillment. People who grow up in poverty may have to learn who they are apart from an environment filled with street corner drug deals, substandard housing, high incarceration rates, high teen pregnancy rates, and low expectations. If you grew up this way, your environment may tell you that you are destined to sell drugs, but actually, you love to write science fiction, Get in touch with the "real you" so that you can see your higher self & realize your ability to distance yourself from the negative realities of a dysfunctional upbringing. If you grew up poor, take time to get to know your higher self, the one who has destiny that doesn't include incarceration, drugs, & unplanned pregnancy. Distinguish your true self from the environment where you grew up. You have to know yourself to live the authentic life that Destiny offers you.

Frustrated: Black American Men in Brazil
A friend of mine sent me this you tube video to watch called, "Frustrated, Black American Men in Brazil."
I watched the entire documentary and what was interesting to me was the comparison of Brazilian women to American Black Women. The men seem to say that the women of Brazil were more loving, submissive, care free and catered to the black men more than black American women. They said black American woman were more materialistic, all about money, stated a black man had to make the same amount of money or close to what they made, had too much attitude and felt just because they had careers that they didn't need to take care of the home or their man anymore. The Brazilian culture structure teaches family first and embraces people of color much better than America. I don't believe or agree with the overall statement that Brazilian women treat black men better than black women in America; however, I do believe that we all still have room to grow and learn how to have a stronger family structure in America and in order for that to happen there is a lot of healing that needs to take place on both sides male/female. Many black women are broken, bitter and scorn from betrayal, lies, manipulation, verbal & physical abuse, child hood molestation and absentee fathers. I feel when a person can face their truths and fears then they can truly work towards achieving what God has for them and the blessings God is just waiting to give you. I feel that black women love and properly care for their black men until their ruined by the male chauvinist who's selfish, self absorbed and only out for his own personal gain in relationships thru manipulation, lies and deceit. We all have knowingly ignored red flags at one point or another however, many times our choices are taken from us because of deception and then it just becomes a vicious cycle of games, lies, deceit and betrayal. I feel if men and women learn how to be honest upfront with better communication of what it is their looking for then we can all find the happiness, companionship., love and respect that we all want in our relationships/marriages and raise stronger children, become better families and more community oriented. I truly believe de-segregation was the downfall of the black community, black business and strong sense of self and the beginning of the family structure falling apart. What are your thoughts? Please share after you watch the video.

Monumental Monday!
"Do you refuel and recharge over the weekend?"
I know most people look forward to the weekends for different reasons. I get my rest and relaxation in while I enjoy getting my to do list accomplished on weekends all-in-one. Do you feel even more drained by the time Monday rolls around? Do you have a physical and spiritual routine that will help detox all of the negative crap that you take in all week long so that you're refreshed, relaxed and ready to roll come Monday? I know I sure do and that's why I say "Monumental Monday" because I will ensure that what I do on Monday will set the tone for how my week will go. I do at least one thing each day that makes me happy, brings a smile to my face which allows me to enjoy my life so much more. Unexpected things will happen and take place in your life at any given time; however, it is how you react to the situation will determine the end result. Do not allow the devil/satan to steal your peace of mind and/or joy because it's his ultimate goal to seek, kill and destroy your spirit which causes you to doubt God, not trust God and just give up all together.
Be blessed everyone and thanks for tuning in to my blog!

Inspirational Thoughts!
Thank you, Father, for holding me steady when I would rather run away. Give me not the easy path, but the endurance to travel the difficult one.
Have you just ever looked back over your life and say wow? How did I end up here? Did you envision being where you are today? God is definitely amazing and he wants us to enjoy the journey and the path that he has us on. Spirituality is a never ending part of your journey. Growth and change should always be the two constant factors in your life. I believe happiness starts with you and you learning how to love yourself from the inside out. Be willing to invest in yourself, read a self help book, read a book about starting your own business. Learn how to step out of your comfort zone and out on faith. The hardest thing to do is admit your faults, embrace your truth and be accountable for your actions. It's hard to face your fears and insecurities when you look at your reflection in the mirror. I am not where I use to be but I am surely not where God wants me to be. As I look back over my life, I never would have made it without my personal relationship with God and I definitely did not think I would be where I am at this very moment. The blessing in it all is that the best has yet to come.
Define The Relationship!
~ John 15:7-16
- Is this relationship going to be long-term or arm I just occupying your time for now?
- After a certain amount of time, let me know or let me go.
- Lucifer had a place in heaven but he was dissatisfied with where he was & his relationship with God so he began to go against God.
- In today's society people really don't like authority. Our flesh wants to be free to do as it please instead of submitting to God's authority.
- When we sin against God, our relationship with God becomes broken
- Jealously caused Cain to kill his only brother Able because his relationship with God was broken.
- 3 Types of Hindrances:
1) Our lack of desire to be like God
2) Seeking more of what we cab get from God vs getting what we want
3) Wordliness: we can't love the world and God at the same time
~ I John 2:15
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Spiritual Fasting!
I have been fasting for the whole month of January. There are many different ways one can fast according to the bible. For me my fast consists of "NO Social Media, NO Cell Phone calls or text messages," reading one self help book, journaling daily and reading my bible while I specifically focus more on meditating & my prayer life. Each and every time I fast for a whole month I feel so rejuvenated, refocused and recommitted to my faith, family and my fitness (my health). It brings so many things into a clearer focus, I get so much accomplished in such a short time because I have removed many of life's daily distractions that can and will get you side tracked on where God is trying to lead you by faith. I have been blessed each and every time I fast as well as being a blessing to others. If there is something that you don't like about yourself and you know it doesn't please God allow God to work on you and show you just who HE really is and how HE can move things in your life because it only happens on his time and according to his will. One thing is for certain, after experiencing an effective fast your circle of friends will change and so will your enemies.

The Rude Tongue!
What has made people of the world today so rude?
Is it the overbooked schedules, longer commuting times, demanding bosses, spoiled children, and the stress of the daily living? Perhaps our lack of patience can be attributed to the modern conveniences that allow us to do almost everything in mere seconds. Showing patience is a rare occurrence, Ill-mannered, discourteous communication has become the standard practice--even amongst God's children. Being rude to others is very denigrating to them & can spoil a person's entire day. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule? "Do unto others as you would have them do to you?"
~ Luke 6:31
Most of the time we don't even have time to think about others! We are totally absorbed with our own agendas. Many of us can be counted among cell phone users who parade around public places talking at the top of their voices as if no one else is present. Cell phone users seem to be totally oblivious to their annoying and offensive social behavior.
Shouldn't our love for God and the desire to represent him well here on earth have an impact on our day to day behavior? Love is patient, love is kind, love is not rude and love doesn't demand it's own way... I Corinthians 13:4-5
No when someone is rude to you, should you just let it go? Is it biblical to address the situation or should we just grin and bear it? While God has not called us to be wimpy people who will always roll over and accept rude behavior and we must confront rudeness in a direct but non offensive manner. It's a great idea to let the individual know you're aware of his/her lack of graciousness at the moment. People will continue their rudeness as long as they're allowed to get away with it. Remember don't allow people to suck you into If the vacuum of their negativity by matching their rudeness with rudeness.
There is never justification for being rude. If you find you tend to speak rudely to others, repent and recommit to following the "Golden Rule!"
Know that when you are rude, you have made a very selfish & ungodly decision that your needs or concerns are paramount to all others.
God's people are patient, considerate and kind. Remember this when you encounter a foolish, loud mouth, mean spirited and spiteful heathen whose actions beg you to respond in an ungodly way!

Inspirational Thoughts!
Successful people have two things on their lips, "smile and silence". Smile can solve problem while Silence can avoid problems. Sugar and salt may be mixed together but ants reject the salt and carry away only the sugar. Select the right people in life and make your life better and sweeter. If you fail to achieve your dreams, change your ways not your God. Remember, trees change their leaves and not their roots. You will never reach your ...destination if you stop and throw stones to every dog that barks. Haters will see you walking on water and say its because you can't swim. Even if you dance on water, your enemies will accuse you of raising dust. Make it your ambition to live a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your own hands. Remember, don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it. -- Be Inspired and have a great 2016..... 💕

What Is Your Destiny?
Destiny is really spelled P-R-I-O-R-I-T-I-Z-E. In order to reach your destiny you must get your relationships, finances, and thoughts in step with your destiny.
When you understand the steps needed to take you to the next level, the only way you can feel content about your life is if you are living according to the priorities you have set. Other people may not understand your choices or your lifestyle, & may even ridicule you for them but when you know why you're making certain choices, their criticism doesn't matter.
Prioritize your relationships: If you can't build relationships, you are being torn down. Building relationships takes time that people often aren't willing to devote, partly because time is a limited resource for us all. Most of us have , at one time or another, spent a lot of energy, time and effort investing in relationships that show little return. Do your current relationships help you in advancement, growth or in alignment with your vision. Most people would rather you waste their money versus their time. The true barometer to help you evaluate the relationships to invest in must center on this significant question:
"How does this person fit into my destiny and my purpose?
Priorities can require us to find new friends and associates!
Prioritize your finances: Financial advisors have a saying that if you are sitting on your assets, your priorities are all wrong. Look at how you spend your money. Are you obsessed with the latest electronic gadget, name brand clothes, shoes, purses or a brand new vehicle? Can you drive a car for years after it's paid for? Can you shop for clothes at thrift stores or that aren't name brand? There's nothing wrong with shopping for quality, but the clothes you wear & he car you drive can never make you great. Destiny has nothing to do with impressing other people with the things you own.
You were created in the image of God and that's the only image that matters. Prioritize your spending so you can be free to travel the road of Destiny. You can't be free to pursue Destiny if you're a slave to debt & spending. Choosing to live your dream may mean quitting your job to pursue your calling, but if you're up to your ears in debt, you can't walk away from that job.
Prioritize what's important for you to fulfill your dream: It's miserable living someone else's life & it's suffocating to live beneath your potential. There is no reward in achieving someone else's plans for your life, yet people will constantly try to suck you into their agenda. Other people always have an opinion about what you should do with your life. Your parents may have their own idea or agenda on what career you should pursue because it's a steady paycheck but if that career isn't reflective of your destiny, it's no good. Set your priorities for Destiny and forget about what other people want for you, no matter how well-meaning their intentions. Only you can have vision for your life, so only you can determine what's most important to getting there. Live in pursuit of destiny rather in pursuit of other people's approval.
Cultivate a Great Mind and Leave Behind Small Thinking: If you don't prioritize your life & the things that are important to you, you'll get off focus and start investing your energy in trivial matters like who lied to you, who's gossiping about someone else. Your destiny is greatness. Greatness runs deep, but pettiness runs shallow and wide.
"If any of you lack wisdom, ask God who will give it to all & upbraideth not; & it shall be given to him." ~ James 1:5
God will reveal, guide and lead you to your destiny as you seek him wholeheartedly, consistently and persistently. Walk in purpose by finding your Destiny.

The Tactless Tongue!
"Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone." ~ Colossians 4:6
You will always get more mileage from diplomacy than tactlessness. I confess that being diplomatic is something I have to work at often as in daily. My direct, honest communication style has gotten me in hot water at times & more than I care to admit. While honesty is indeed the best policy, I is not a license to say whatever we want. One of the most important skills we can develop is the ability to deal with others with sensitivity and to speak inoffensively when we find ourselves in difficult or problematic situations. You would think that exhibiting graciousness would be an easy task for one who claims to be filled with the grace of God. Sometimes our lack of graciousness results from the communication styles we saw modeled when we were children. The Holy Spirit continues to bring balance in this area as I have acknowledged & repented of this emotional baggage. I am fully persuaded that only the grace of God can empower me to trash it.
As I am learning to tell the truth tactfully, I realize that your silence can be even more powerful than your words.
Thank you to everyone who follows and reads my blog daily & for sharing it with others.....
Key Elements in Relationships!
Relationships & marriages are all about communication and compromise.
How to compromise and not lose your respect: If you don't remember anything, always remember relationships are give and take. Sometimes you have to give, just so you can take . If you feel like you are always giving, & the other person is taking, it's time to have that 1 hour talk to change some things. Your happiness is just as important as your significant other or spouse. There is no room for selfishness in relationships. Either work on it, or you will be working each other out of the door.
A Man's Pride & Ego: Every man's pride & ego can be a gift and a curse. It can save you or hinder you and when it comes to relationships, it has to go. In order for your relationship to grow, let the pride and ego go. Learning when to let go of your pride and ego is essential in relationships. What you have to realize is that you aren't less of a man to your woman when you show your soft side, when you show her that you care more about her at times than yourself, and that her happiness is just as important as yours. Trust that I understand coming into the relationship you probably had or may still have a huge ego. Issues will always come up, but how you handle them determines if they turn into problems. Most of the time, they can turn into problems because of your ego/pride and at times it won't allow you to let go of the same issue so you both can move forward, but you must realize it is hindering your relationship day by day.
When is having pride and ego important? Pick your battles. When your pride is hurt, let her know. People cannot read minds and I is better than just walking around angry. Your woman will always respect you as her man as long as you do, and that is talking to her instead of listening to your EGO. Women were created to love, care & become our help mates. Do not be afraid to show her your loving side, women love that. Everyone is prideful at some point or another, but today starts a new day and don't let that be an excuse on why your relationship cannot progress. You hold the keys to your relationship as a man & you can position where the relationship goes, if you just let go of your pride and ego. Sometimes you just have to truly take a look in the mirror, & as yourself, "Do I really want my relationship?" If yes, then start making changes!
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interested, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 2:3-5

I Belive in God but Not Organized, Man Made Religion!
What is organized religion? Or what is, I believe in God because I am spiritual but I don't believe in going to church?
First off I am not here to change anyone's belief with this post but rather create some open, candid dialogue about what is hindering people from going to the house of the Lord to worship with other believers.
Hebrews 10:22-25
"Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: & having our body washed with pure water,
let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:
and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;
not forsaking the assembly together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day drawing near.
Jesus didn't do anything wrong it was those "church folks" that are the problem. There is a difference between "church folks" and Christians and they understand that they too have been just as raggedy & ratchet as the next person.... Ephesians 2:1-13
What you should know & understand is that the Christian makes an effort to do right by God & mankind. "Church folks" are the ones who are trifling, low down, hypocrites, backstabbing, gossiping, hateful & evil on a daily basis but put on a "church mask" for Sunday to appear to look like a Christian. Every "church" ain't Christ's Church. Churches have been started by what men wanted to start with "their own rules & regulations" that are contrary to what the bible teaches in the New Testament. And even in "Christ's" church, God said there are going to be some bad folks, heathens, evil doers... ~ Matthew 13:47-50
In conclusion, if you truly believe that there is a God don't let the foolishness of others keep you from making it to heaven. This is what Satan wants to leave a bad taste in your mouth so you will quit truly seeking God's truth because of the evilness of other folks whose job is to be evil & work for the devil/satan. ~ Matthew 6:33
I hope you all don't mind me being as honest & open as possible concerning such a big issue because people's souls are lost and in jeopardy of not making it to heaven.
I am not condemning or judging anyone because only God's word has the ability to do that in truth & love according to the scriptures. ~ John 8:32
According to the "plan of salvation" in the bible it states this:
1) Hear the word of God......... Romans 10:17
2) Believe the word of God......Hebrews 11:6
3) Repent of your sins..............Acts 2:38, 17:30 & Luke 13:3-5
4) Confess Jesus before men...Matthew 10:32
5) Be Baptized (In water for the remission of sins)......Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-38
We can't do what it says we are suppose to do at worship if we aren't present according to....
Colossians 3:16.
**Please share your thoughts and feedback. If you are someone who has stopped going to worship in the house of the Lord due to a bad experience please share it by leaving a comment!***

Champions Aren't Made In The Gyms!
"I sought perfection. If I missed perfection, I would end up with greatness, and I could handle that but nothing less!" ~ Joe Montana
Why do something just to be good enough? Why not seek perfection? You are not defined by your failures. You're failures are what make you successful. How much are you willing to sacrifice? How much are you willing to suffer to be the best Mom, Dad, Husband, Wife, or Champion?
Have you set goals for 2016? If so, what sacrifices have you made in order to take steps closer to your destiny, your goal and your vision?

The Harsh Tongue!
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger!" ~ Proverbs 15:1
The imprudent use of your tongue will never bring forth the results you desire. When you're impatient, frustrated and angry with others you will tear down someone with your tongue intentionally or unintentionally. When you open your mouth wisdom and kindness should come out of your mouth(Proverbs 31:26).
You should adopt speaking kindness as a principle in other people's lives and be intentional about it. There is never any justification for being harsh or speaking unkind communication. Be intentional and deliberate at choosing warmhearted, kind, compassionate, sympathetic and uplifting words especially to those who we feel don't deserve it. Have you ever heard the saying, "Kill a person with kindness?" Before we go to anyone we must approach God in prayer first, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts, actions.
"So as my words depart from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it!" ~ Isaiah 55:11 We can't accomplish God's purpose while being harsh.
If you find that you are prone to speaking harshly when angry, begin to seek God for deliverance. "He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, & he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city!" ~ Proverbs 16:32
You can begin to take control over that destructive behavior by the power of the Holy Spirit.

4 Ways To Step Into Your Purpose!
1) Change your attitude: You've got to learn to silence & proactively choose your thoughts. God speaks in cans and not in cant's.
2) Become a recession rebel: You're creating your own economy. Believe me, this isn't a popular belief in the world. You have to go against what you are normally use to doing & what everyone else is doing.
3) Grow your visibility: Be committed to growing your own visibility by any means necessary. "This is what I need to do so I'm going to do it." No matter how hard it is, I am going to figure it out. I need to do this & I want to do this. Get serious about growing your visibility & figuring out or aligning with someone who already knows how to do it.
4) Get Serious: You need to get serious about creating your own economy. Don't play with destiny by tinkering with it & calling it your passion, hobby or side thing. Your mouth has power & your words have power. The purpose that is embedded in your destiny will not play small. It's going to accomplish the purpose for which it was sent here & either you do something with it or it moves on to somebody else who will.

Communication in Relationships!
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger!" ~ Proverbs 15:1
We all know that the power of life and death lies in the tongue and what we allow to come out of our mouths. "It's not what you say, but how you say it." This is the key to communication in any relationship. Ladies and Gentleman, do you know when it's best to listen and not talk? Of course not, that is why you have such toxic, unfulfilling relationship that's beyond frustrating. Do you have a man that doesn't like to express himself? There is a root, reason why and more than likely it's the way you communicate to him. Have you thought about this, "When he begins to speak, just listen & take 10-15 seconds to think, gain understanding & then speak. Men are simple and simple minded. They don't over think or complicate things so ladies you need to s-p-e-l-l things out for them literally. When an issue or subject matter comes up that can't be quickly resolved, AGREE TO DISAGREE and move on to say something positive. Men like to be affirmed in positive words of encouragement. The way a man's mind work is when he hears the positive first, he will understand that you just have something to talk to him about.
"Everyone should quick to listen, slow to speak & slow to become angry!" ~ James 1:19
Anger comes from the lack of understanding within communication. Understanding is gained by a persons actions leading up to a persons word. Remember you cannot change a person, only God can do that. Using good communication methods can help you ease the issues and avoid problems. Respond to hate with love, and not more hate. God is love and love conquers all. Remember, you have to do different things to have different results.

Why your relationship with God is important!
As a woman, God purposed you to be a wife. You are a helpmate and to reproduce. Your relationship with God is as important as the relationship your man has with God also. Even though the roles are different, the impact is the same. Through the midst of storms in your relationship, it is your responsibility to uplift your man and when he falls short, to supply him with strength.

The Cynical Tongue!
"Blessed is the man that walk not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful!"
~ Psalms 1:1
How many of you know someone who is a true cynic? A cynical person scorns the motives of others. Cynicism is like venom; it poisons the atmosphere wherever it is present. Resorting to it will also poison your spirit & that of others. Find one cynical employee, church member or family member and pretty soon those with weaker minds are chiming in & perpetuating the negative conversation. It can cause disarray, harm & serious problems on any relationship and in any environment. Realize when Satan is looking to attack and devour your Godly spirit and when he's trying to distract you to cause you to disobey God. The only way to deal with someone that's poisonous is to cut it off at the head, the root. Really take notice and observe your comments as well as others in various settings to determine who's being cynical or scornful.
Thank you for following my blog. Please feel free to share it with someone. Hugs and Kisses....

Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration:
As we celebrated and honored the memory of such a powerful & iconic man Dr. King's dream still lives on. Does it live in you? It's not just a day off but it's actually a day on for peace, atonement, forward movement, reflection, progress, positive affirmation of self and he legacy of family. Having true character, morals, values & respect for others as well as self is a great start to transformation of self and in your communities. I implore everyone to effect change in their communities and within themselves one day at a time. Live your life on purpose and towards your destiny.

Do you have the type of faith that you're supposed to have?
My God is definitely an on-time God. God surely walked all down my street today when my minister Conley Gibbs Jr. brought the bible study lesson this morning. He pointed out through I John 5:14-15 that my worldly concept doesn't and isn't in line with the Biblical concept that's in the bible as to the type of faith I should have and what that looks like. According to Hebrews Chapter 11, there are
3 Types of Faith:
1) Believing in God
2) Trusting & depending on God
3) Waiting on God
You need hope in order to have faith. Without hope you can't have faith. There are many hopeless people walking around today looking, searching for someone or something to believe in, to gain strength from & better themselves from. Faith equals trusting God is looking forward & you don't know the outcome. God answers our prayers even when he says NO! God isn't obligated to answer our prayers in the way that we want. We have to learn how to pray for whatever is in God's will versus what we want and try to yield or will by our own merits and understanding because God doesn't work or operate based on our demands, understanding or solutions. His ways aren't our ways and his thoughts aren't are thoughts so we need to get out of his way and let Him do what he does best. Be blessed everyone and thank you for following my blog. Please share it with friends and family, hugs n kisses to all!

Sensational Saturday!
Today I have been knee deep in cleaning my house, gathering clothes and shoes together to donate to a worthy organization. I have dusted, swept, mopped the floors, washed clothes and cleaned both of my bathrooms, packed my clothes for an upcoming trip and made business calls. I will be taking complete advantage of being off for Dr. MLK Day as I will be treating myself to a spa day at the Four Seasons Spa. I feel sensational because I am accomplishing what I set out to do for the day and I still have plenty of time left. Whatever you need to do in order to make your Saturday Sensational you should do just that every week. You should always make time to take care of yourself and don't feel guilty when doing so. If you allow others to run you into the ground you won't have nothing left to give others. Hugs and Kisses to all of my followers...
Maturity In Christ!
Spend time praying daily, read, and meditate on his word. Surrender to His will and continuously follow his guidance. When we let God take the lead, we give Him the power to make the greatest impact in our lives. As we mature in Christ, we realize we are nothing without Him. Whatever God gives He can also take away. We count our blessings and take nothing for granted. With God on our side the outcome will be in our favor, for all good things will work together for our good, for those who fear and love the Lord.
"The Lord has been our dwelling place for all generations."

4 Habits of Healthy People!
1) They're actively aware of their food choices: Healthy people know exactly what type of food they put in their body & often make sacrifices to help keep their bodies running optimally.
2) Consistently monitor their health: Monitor their overall physically performance by regularly exercising to gauge whether or not their health has improved or worsened over time.
3) Stay the course even when it's difficult: When their health goals become overwhelming difficult.
4) Experiment with new habits: Healthy people are always on the lookout for new habits, suggestions, or technology that can help them continue to grow stronger throughout their lives. Live begins when you venture outside of your comfort zone. Consistently make time for your workouts & keep on the lookout for new, healthy habits.
"When times get tough & you start to struggle or question your motivation, this shouldn't be considered a sign of weakness as this is a sign of growth and change, embrace the challenge."

Fatih Declaration For Singles!
1) I announce to my own mind that my singleness is not a curse.
2) I declare that I am not too old to be loved, not too experienced to learn, & I'm not running out of time.
3) I announce to my sexual desires that you are needed later, but controlled right now.
4) I declare that I am ALONE, but NOT LONELY or DESPARATE.
5) I declare that I am successfully single & that I'm satisfied being single until my assignment is up.
6) I declare that heart is healthy, whole & that I am emotionally balanced.
7) I declare that I am a victor & not a victim.
8) I declare that I'm a gift that was not created to be handled by just ANYONE.
To all of my single men and women out there enjoy your singleness while being about the kingdom of God. Whether you are celibate or you have fallen short sexually we all are striving for greatness, joy and peace. Being celibate doesn't you make you better than someone who has fornicated or may be sexually active. Remember God has you single for a reason and a season. Plant and sow great seeds to others that it's a blessing to live through obedience in the Lord and show people the contentment and fulfillment that comes with the sacrifice and discipline. We all have our selfish ways, selfish motives and selfish desires where it's simply all about me; however, take a stand and be powerful in your singleness. Stop allowing the devil to deceive you, trick you and make you think that you're not worthy of love, worthy of a mate or worthy of respect. Ladies stop showing off all of your assets and giving the milk away for free. Learn to love yourself first as God loves you because you were fearfully and wonderfully made. Keep praying for a Godly mate, be patient and enjoy the journey because it's a marathon and not a sprint. Sometimes you just have to learn how to "Go with the flow" and stop trying to force things to happen or people to be with you. You don't have to beg another person to like you, love you or accept you. Just keep on working on yourself mentally, physically and spiritually to be the best version of you possible.

Marriage Tip!
"God never intended for marriage to be a two for one deal, but rather, a two as one covenant!"
~ David Burris
Do many of you really know and understand what it means to be in covenant with? It's a binding contract or agreement. God gave us a contract when we decided to accept his son Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior as we decided to deny self, pick up our crosses and follow him. This is a daily purge and self cleansing process that we should go through and work towards daily. Our covenant is sealed by the Blood of Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, redeeming us to our heavenly Father. Do you really understand just how powerful that is? We all now share in the same inheritance with God's son , with certain rights and responsibilities.
Acts 26:18, "To open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me."
Hebrews 9:14-16, "How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it."
Marriage is honorable, great and valuable in the eyes of God. Despite how much negativity you may hear about marriage, failed marriages, divorce rates, etc. being in a covenant with your spouse & God provides a new meaning to marriage when you truly have a clear understanding and picture of what that means, what that looks like and what your role in that union is. Many people fall in love with the idea of marriage and all the socialization, commercialization, faddish and worldly definitions of love and marriage. Please take your time to prepare for marriage while your in the exclusive courtship or engagement stages instead of just getting excited to plan a wedding which is just an act or activity of something that has much more of a deeper meaning than what's on the surface. Always accept your role or responsibility in any relationship/marriage when it failed because we all have a role to play, a responsibility to bear versus pointing the finger at someone else. Point your finger at self first because the reflection you see in the mirror is just as flawed as their spouse.
Hugs and Kisses to all of my followers.....

The Meddling Tongue!
2 Thessalonians 3:11
"Some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work & waste time meddling in other people's business."
He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears. A dog's ears are one of the most sensitive parts of his body; if you pull them, he may bite you. Likewise, when we stick our noses where they do not belong, we may get a negative response. Grown ups do not need parenting. The law of sowing and reaping the consequences of bad decisions is still one of the most effective teachers of life's lessons. Give people the space to learn. Nose poking is a sin like many other things. Ask yourself, "Do I have a sincere, unselfish motive for prying into someone else's matter, or am I attempting to control things for my desired objectives?" Someone once said that one reason why people who mind their own business are successful is that they have so little competition. Think about that!
Hugs and Kisses to all of my followers. Have a Triumphant Thursday.

Grace.....
I am learning what "grace" means and how it works. Grace comes after you. He rewires you form insecure to God secure. From regret-riddled to better-because of it. From afraid to die to ready to fly. Grace then gives us power to pull it off. When grace happens, we receive not a nice compliment from God but a new heart with a renewed mindset.

The 5 W's of Life
1) WHO: You are is what makes you special. Do not change for anyone.
2) WHAT: Lies ahead will always be a mystery. Don't be afraid to explore.
3) WHEN: Life pushes you over, you push back harder.
4) WHERE: There are choices to make, make the one you won't regret.
5) WHY: Things happen will never be certain. Take it in stride and move forward.
I would like to recommend that you type these up and hang it on your wall in your home somewhere that you can read these things daily. Life happens to everyone in peculiar and abstract way that doesn't always makes sense nor can it be defined. Reaffirming oneself is necessary is such a negative world full of unethical people and actions of people. Never lose site of what's important and learn to reflect, regroup and refocus on your goals on a weekly basis. Be the best you!

School Daze: Light Skinned vs. Dark Skinned
I was watching a film called, "Skinned" on TvOne last night which was written and produced by Lisa Raye McCoy. It's very disturbing to me that in 2016, we still have a serious complex about image of Light Skinned vs. Dark Skinned. As a child that grew up in Oakland, CA a very diverse place racially this is not something I ever struggled with or experienced this type of hate and discrimination. The movie showed how a dark complexion girl who had Nigerian roots was always teased, ostracized and shunned away from as the "Ugly One" by her peers, her cousins and even her Aunt. She was always treated like the black sheep of the family and was told constantly that no one would want her, love her, respect her or see her as beautiful. The girl had such a complex that she ended up using bleaching cream which had side effects long term that made her sterile and unable to have kids as well as gave her skin cancer by the time she was 32 years old. The young lady never researched the product before she started to use it & in the end she realized that it wasn't worth it. This is very sad that we (as Blacks) still feed into this type of negativity within our own culture and are willing to tear someone else's self esteem completely down. No one should ever have to be treated so horribly or unfairly especially at the expense of making oneself feel better. Even within my own family we have an array of light brown, caramel, brown and dark brown women in my family we were all treated the same, treated fairly, shown love, respect and valued by all of our family. I can't imagine being told or shown this type of hatred my whole life from as early as 4 years old all the way into my adulthood. I would like to hear from my readers and followers have you ever experienced this or been a witness to someone else being treated in such a hostile manner? If so, please share your story or experience in a comment.

Order Your Steps Towards Destiny!
Psalms 37:23
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord."
The word steps implies process and God orders steps. Steps do not make life harder; they create readiness. God knows that a blessings given too soon is not a blessing at all. Steps are part of our maturation. If we get what God has in store for us too soon, we can't handle it. Establishing order in your life is essential preparation for Destiny. Once you set your order, you will awaken each day determined to engage those principles to pursue your purpose. You will wake up focused because you have an agenda. When you wake up wit a reason for being, you have the drive to get up and try it all over again if necessary and not worry about what happened yesterday. Setbacks won't cause you to drop out of the game. Disappointments won't cause you to stay in bed with the covers pulled over your head. Your destiny is a daily call to get up and get back in the game. When your life is ordered, setbacks and disappointments are regarded as commas and not periods that punctuate your life story. Each day is a new opportunity to live your dream when your life is ordered for Destiny. Maybe you haven't arrived there yet, but every step you take toward it is still living your dream.

Analyze Your Environment
You're a product of your environment so choose the environment that will best develop you towards your objective. Analyze your life in terms of its environment. Are things around you helping you toward success or are they holding you back? Increase and decrease comes by association.

3 Essential tips For Bigger, Stronger Muscles
1) Stretching is Essential
Many people want to go to the gym, go heavy on the weights & go home without investing time in stretching muscles that were worked. Stretching is very important because it prevents injury. Stretching after a workout also helps your body revert to a natural state & good posture while your muscles are shortened from the workout.
2) Cardio
All the weight lifting in the world won't make you look stronger if there is fat covering the muscles you're working. Cardio helps you shred the fat surrounding your muscles while the weights build the muscle. Decreasing body fat percentage is what makes the muscles really show. Line dancing, zumba, swimming, jumping rope, bicycling and martial arts are great forms of cardio
3) Weight Training
Gradual increases is the key when it comes to weight training. It's not smart for the body to go heavy just good for the ego. Muscle growth takes time so it's good to use the same weight amount for 3 weeks at a time before increasing your weight. Learn to listen to your body. Be mindful of your supplements and your diet. Your diet is everything when it comes to building muscle and burning fat. You can't out run or out lift a TERRIBLE DIET!
