- In today's society people really don't like authority. Our flesh wants to be free to do as it please instead of submitting to God's authority.
- When we sin against God, our relationship with God becomes broken
- Jealously caused Cain to kill his only brother Able because his relationship with God was broken.
- 3 Types of Hindrances:
1) Our lack of desire to be like God
2) Seeking more of what we cab get from God vs getting what we want
3) Wordliness: we can't love the world and God at the same time
